James Smith (pictured) has been appointed as our new Enterprise Sales Manager, as we get set to sharpen our focus on enterprise networking sales.
Westbase Technology is pleased to welcome on board our new Enterprise Sales Manager, James Smith, into a brand new role which will see him head up enterprise networking sales efforts for the company, and increase our focus on this sector. James, who previously held multiple roles at Purdicom, joins us with over 11 years’ enterprise networking sales experience including roles as Product Manager, Sales Operations Manager, Business Sales Manager and Major Account Manager – and during his tenure with Purdicom he was responsible for helping to lead the company to become the largest distributor for their selected WiFi manufacturer.
“I’m very pleased to be welcoming James on board,” said Sacha Kakad, Managing Director at Westbase, “We are targeting rapid, steep growth for our enterprise sales in 2017-18 and James is definitely the right person to help us deliver this. He has the industry and sales experience to complement our leading portfolio.”
Focused initially on UK sales, James will be targeted with developing end user interest as well as identifying and onboarding new reseller channel partners for the LANCOM Systems and other enterprise networking product ranges that Westbase represents:
“The Westbase channel is already extensive but it’s historically been focused on IoT, Edge and mobile networking,” said Smith, “So I’ll be working on developing our existing accounts to introduce our broader enterprise range to them, as well as looking at new partners within the wider networking arena.
“We’ve represented LANCOM Systems in the UK for just under a year, and have received very positive feedback on the products so we’re keen to build on this with James’ help – as well as readdress our focus on the enterprise as a whole,” said Sacha.
He continued, “In particular, our enterprise networking solutions are shifting up a gear as our key manufacturers start to introduce software-defined networking in place of traditional approaches. We will be working hard with our channel to make sure that they’re ready for this, and by having James on board I’m confident that we will be able to hit the ground running with these new solutions.”
