The MikroTik netPower Lite 8P is a compact outdoor PoE switch designed to deliver reliable network connectivity with built-in power resilience. It combines eight Gigabit Ethernet ports with 802.3af and 802.3at PoE output, dual 10G SFP+ uplinks, and an integrated UPS switchover system, making it suitable for deployments where uptime is critical. The inclusion of a smart battery charger allows the switch to operate with an external 24 V battery, ensuring connected devices remain powered during grid outages.
Designed for flexibility, the netPower Lite 8P supports a wide 24–57 V DC input range via a 2-pin terminal and can deliver PoE output even when powered from lower-voltage DC sources. It runs SwOS Lite, providing efficient and straightforward management for monitoring ports, traffic, and power usage. When available input power is limited, the device intelligently prioritises PoE output to keep essential equipment online while battery charging is reduced.
Housed in a rugged enclosure and rated for operation between –40 °C and +70 °C, the netPower Lite 8P is built for demanding outdoor and industrial environments. An integrated temperature sensor helps manage safe and efficient battery charging, while support for multiple battery types provides deployment flexibility. This makes the netPower Lite 8P well suited for CCTV systems, wireless backhaul, apartment buildings, utilities, and smart-city networks where continuous operation is essential.
