In October 2012 the ACPO ITS Group invited vehicle manufacturers and information technology suppliers, including Goodmill Systems Ltd, to take part in a competition to produce a police patrol vehicle able to support new and innovative ways of working for the police service.
The winning consortium was formed by General Motors (Vauxhall), consisting of leading edge suppliers tasked to develop and build a vehicle meeting all of the criteria set by ACPO ITS. Goodmill Systems Ltd provided the best in class broadband connectivity part of the total solution and was one of the key elements in the concept.
