Britain’s biggest mobile carrier, Everything Everywhere has announced plans to upgrade its HSPA network. It plans to start building a LTE network by the end of the year.
The roll out of HSPA+ 21Mbps has already reached 60% of the network and will be completed in Q3 2012. Trials of HSPA+ 42Mbps are due to begin in Q2 with a aim to roll out technology to customers in Q4 2012.
Everything Everywhere’s vision is to launch 4G for the UK as soon as possible.
The company has announced the UK’s first LTE trials over 1800Mhz spectrum will commence in Bristol this April as part of its hopes to launch before the end of the year.
