At the end of 2016, CRN named 20 companies with the “coolest” IoT back-end hardware. Included on this list were Westbase Technology’s leading manufacturers Cradlepoint and Sierra Wireless.
The Internet of Things represents a huge market opportunity for networking manufacturers, with many striving to be at the forefront of the industry. CRN’s top 20 coolest IoT companies included low-power sensor, embedded gateway, modem, router and semiconductor vendors.
Cradlepoint were credited by CRN for their expertise in 3G and 4G networking, and in particular the COR IBR1100 product which has been a huge success for mission-critical IoT connectivity in challenging environments. The company was also noted for its Router Software Development Kit which enables users to customise IoT to meet specific business needs.
Sierra Wireless, as well as being noted for their leading embedded modules business, were also credited for their gateways and routers which make up the back end of the Internet of Things applications. The AirLink product series from Sierra, along with their programmable modems, deliver a “future-proof” device-to-cloud architecture for connected products and systems.
As the leading distributor for both Cradlepoint and Sierra Wireless in Europe, Westbase Technology is pleased to see its vendors recognised in CRN’s list and we look forward to another successful year with both partners and our channel. Read the full list from CRN by following this link.
