Westbase Group Business Continuity Statement COVID-19

Introduction

The Coronavirus Pandemic is a source of uncertainty for us all and we are closely monitoring developments related to the spread of the virus and implementing Government advice as required. We have put in place a robust contingency plan to allow us to operate without disruption. Please be assured that we will continue to provide you with the highest level of support and service you would expect to receive from the Westbase Group.

People

The Health and Safety of our employees, customers, and partners is our top priority. Before the Government had even introduced their social distancing measures, we had cancelled our attendance at external meetings and all meetings due to be held at our offices, rescheduling them wherever possible to take place via our video conferencing facilities. Our staff are well equipped with the latest technologies and collaboration tools to allow them to successfully work from home, and the majority of our staff are now carrying out their normal working day remotely. Currently, only business critical staff remain working in our offices and we are taking extra precautions including making sure all areas are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected regularly, as well as requesting that staff always maintain a minimum 2-metre distance between themselves. Our collaboration tools mean that staff members can support each other from home and maintain a strong sense of morale during what is a psychologically difficult time. We are ready to follow any further guidance from Public Health England to protect the health and safety of our people and we are communicating with all staff on a daily basis to keep them informed of any changes or developments which affect our policies and procedures.

Suppliers and Customers

Our warehouses are currently being operated as normal, with good stock levels across the business. We have been monitoring the situation since the news first broke in China some months ago and, in order to minimise the potential impact upon the supply chain, we have increased our stockholding substantially. As the situation in China is showing some signs of improvement, we would expect that in the short-term current stockholding will meet demand. In light of the further restrictions on movement introduced by the Government, we are undertaking daily calls with our key manufacturers in order to be well informed of any potential shortages in supply. We are also working closely with the logistics companies to understand their plans for continued operation and the level of service they expect to maintain. Customers with support SLAs in place, can be assured that these are still valid and will continue to be adhered to. Our team is available to help as needed, and you can submit a support request in the usual way. Similarly, the rest of our team are all available to work with our customers and suppliers to ensure continued support as usual.

Communication
